CROCHET DESIGN - AND YOU

What Crochet can do for you!
People are discovering, increasingly, wonderful levels of enjoyment and satisfaction as the result of their involvement in crochet. Applying their creative and artistic talents-possibly hidden until this point – a new world is now theirs to explore. It is a truly absorbing world and by taking the International Diploma in Crochet, the following doors are flung wide open:-

The ability to learn or expand on the subject with ease and without the need to attend regular classes.
It’s fun! It allows you to have the confidence to play and explore -  with the advantage of expert supervision through assessment.

You have the new found ability and qualification to undertake a further role if you wish – such as teaching, designing, running a business etc.
Extend these facets and interest into other crafts and textiles.
Become recognised as a specialist in the world of crochet.
Use crochet in fibre art work.

Qualifications
City and Guilds of London used the Diploma in Crochet material as the base for their own Creative Studies courses-crochet.
No examining body would accept a pass mark of 80% believing it to be too high.  The International Diploma in Crochet course has therefore remained autonomous and in our nearly 25 years existence...everyone who has applied for a teaching post or offered designs on a freelance basis...has been successful!

Do you qualify to take part?
Age is not a barrier and any English speaking person can take part.
Each part (1, 2 and 3) is certificated separately and the course itself is available using British or American terminology as well as any signs and symbols.
There is no time limit to completing any of the parts.

What is your commitment?

The submission of specified pieces of work for acceptance/correction – is an obvious and understandable requirement.
(There is no limit to the number of re-submissions needed to qualify for the 80% pass mark figure.)
(This is a ‘learning’ course -*not a ‘pass/fail’ one- so, in the case of re-submission, information is supplied enabling the work to be improved.)

Focussing on the craft, submit when required, along with any necessary written information in written form in respect of the work being assessed. Explanations are required for Parts 2 and 3 and here there are alternative schemes minimalising the need for this written work.
